My Best Friend and Rival
Since middle school, I was always in the same class with Tom. At that time, our school used to be relative grading, and we always fought to be the first place in every class.
Tom was about 172cm tall, and he dressed very drastically. On days he was not playing sports he always wore semi casual clothes consisting of jeans, button down shirts with long sleeves and blazers. When he was playing sports, he always wore short sleeves and short pants regardless of the weather, and the season. He has big eyes, a tall nose, and a wide smile. Although these physical features alone are very positive, they somehow combined to form a face that resembles a penguin.
Tom had numerous friends and always had people around him. He seemed to play hard and work hard managing to balance the best of both life styles. Tom is a very persuasive person. He was a member of numerous debate clubs, and accumulated knowledge through hard work in all of his classes. When he gave a suggestion, other people followed what he said. He seemed to carefully plan his time depending on the work he has to do in such a manner that other students can't refute. He would say, "Let's go to the library first today since we have to work on a project, than go eat dinner, and play for two hours before we go home."
Fortunately, when I was in 7th grade, our school changed from relative grading to absolute grading. Since we both recognized each other's skills, and with the barrier of grades out of the way, it was easy to bond. The more time we spent together, the more commonalities we found. We not only worked together, but we ate together, played together, but also stood up all night so the other person doesn't fall asleep even if one of us finished the assignment already.
Tom is a very kind person who is caring of other people, manages his time well, and is a great friend and motto, yet a rival that I hope to surpass someday. To this day, we keep in contact, and meet during summer and winter vacation.

6. You said you and Tom still meet in vacations but did not mention what you guys doing. I think there are some changes of the way you hang out because both of you got older. I just wonder it.

Hello, this is a feedback to your writing based on the questions on pg.90-91
1. Tom is a outstanding person who has various ability to draw attention of other people.
2. 1) He dressed very drastically.

4. I slightly can't understand the last part of paragraph no.3. So, did you guys often gathere for assignments and stand all night? I don't know the reason why suddenly you mentioned about standing all night connected with assingments. Adding more specific information about the sentece will make your writing more interesting.
5. I think you described this person since you still have a relationship with him, and share a lot of memory from the early age.
6. I want to know brief information about your school time such as where did you study, how long had you studied in overseas, like that. Also, personally, I hope to know what Tom is doing now, maybe a university student?
